it was a good weekend, we fucking pulled it off. girlsonfilm was a kick ass DP. here are a few very unedited stills. now the long and involved work begins...
I should be at work, but my couch is comfortable...
The stills look amazing! I can't wait to see the finished project. If you need further help, we can now become available...Even if it's toadie errand stuff. This weekend was just a mess with obligations.
thanks, I'm really happy. It'll be a while before the whole thing is together, have to set up photoshop things to touch up every single image, some 28,000 all together... the work next will be a lot of computer work up until the end, editing and whatnot. but if I need a hottie to bring me coffee, you'll be the first to know...
But serious, maybe I can help with you next project...I can help carry stuff or organize props for scenes...I have a lot of experience with those two activities.
Sorry I missed the shoot, man. Stupid drama kept me up until 5am Sunday morning, so I overslept.
Your movie looks better than mine...what kind of budget did you have, anyway? The effects look great. If you need help compiling the images and photoshopping, I can help you with that. I look forward to helping with the next shoot.
sorry about the drama... you shouldn't have drama. it's no good.
I'm sure your's looks great too. Ours is totally different though due to the style that it's shot in. It's amazing what lenses can do. As for budget, pretty much nothing. I think the combined total will be somewhere around $200-300 when all is said and done. rotzo_the_clown did the makeup and special effects stuff, he rocked beyond beleif.
Actually, in all honesty, mine looks pretty bad. I had horrible weather for an outdoor shoot...it rained pretty much all day, and I had to shoot what I could within the 20 minutes that it wasn't pouring. and folks who, while eager and helpful, were really bad actors.
I'm salvaging what I can from that one and finding some way to integrate it into the reshoot of that particular project. We're doing a slasher flick, and we've actually got a movie theater to use as a location.
sorry that it rained, it's always good to have a backup plan. we never even secured a full location, but fancy editing will make it all seem like it's in the same place. I've sadly gotten better at that.
basically planning is really important. if you need help in that process I'd be more than happy to assist, or even if you need an AD (assistant director) I'd love to help out.
You and Chris Brown would have had a good time talking f/x and horror movies in general. Robert was amazed how he could name almost any obscure horror film, and he and Chris would banter about it during the make up process.

You can't win all the time, I guess...

I'm sad you missed it!
